Horst Pinnow (* 1936 in Landsberg an der Warthe ) is a German actor and voice actor .

Life

Pinnow had played theater since the 1960s, initially mainly in Remscheid but also early in Berlin (grandstand).

He made his screen debut in the 1971 feature film Rosy and the Lord from Bonn with Horst Tappert in the leading role, directed by Rolf Thiele . He then appeared in films in the 1970s such as Dear Mother, I'm Fine , Wages and Love , The Upright Walk or The Fist in the Pocket .

Horst Pinnow was also seen in several leading roles, e.g. B. as Mr. Buseberg in Molle with Korn, Mr. Köster in waiting room for little luck or Alwin Barthold in Die Wicherts next door . He often played in Tatort episodes or twice in Der Hausgeist. He also mimed various roles in films such as Willi and the comrades, Meister Timpe, Kreuzberger Liebesnächte , Die Kluge Witwe, Die Perle der Karibik or Single loves single. Pinnow appeared as a gangster in the sketch show Nonstop Nonsense in 1978 and starred in the television comedy Mein Gott, Willi with Dieter Hallervorden from 1980, through which he gained a certain degree of notoriety in Germany.

In the 1970s and 1980s he played the role of the detective Humphrey Gocart Junior on Sesame Street , together with Tobias Meister as his assistant “Ludwig Lupe” (director: Christoph Busse). As letter detectives , both tried to track down "escaped" letters and to catch them in a sometimes hectic pace. The letters were represented by cartoon animations cut into real outdoor shots. The saying What makes the detective known? Always your nose in the wind and your ears in the sand! became a household word in Germany at the time . The letter detectives were short interim films produced for Germany that were often shown in episodes.

In 1985 he played the worried and choleric father of the young musician Richard Schrader in the musical film Richy Guitar . Furthermore, he appeared in some episodes of the Wolffs Revier series as an unsympathetic person. As a voice actor, he could be heard for Akira Hamada in the series The Rebels from Liang Shan Po or for James Best in The Year Without a Father . He embodied various roles in the radio play series Benjamin Blümchen and Bibi Blocksberg.

Horst Pinnow is considered a true Berlin stage and film actor.
