Hai-Alarm am Müggelsee is a German comedy by Leander Haußmann and Sven Regener from 2013. The film is set in Friedrichshagen , a part of the Berlin district of Treptow-Köpenick , and is about the supposed existence of a shark in Müggelsee .
action
During the morning check of the water temperature, the lifeguard at the Friedrichshagen lido mysteriously bites off the right hand. The bite wounds indicate the existence of a shark in the Müggelsee. At the same time, the shark hunter Snake Müller returns to his home in Friedrichshagen on his houseboat from Hawaii . He quickly realizes that there is really a dangerous shark in the Müggelsee.
The mayor consults with his experts on the seriousness of the situation and initially downplays the danger. However, the unrest in the population is growing. On the advice of city marketing officer Vera Baum, a shark alarm is finally triggered. The Müggelsee is closed to the general public, to distract the people of Friedrichshagen, the annual Bölschefest , a traditional and popular street festival, is simply extended indefinitely. After a short time, however, the residents are fed up with the shark alarm and demand the end of it in loud demonstrations.
Finally, the shark is to be driven out of the Müggelsee by discharging large quantities of beer from the Berliner Bürgerbräu brewery . After entering the lake, Snake Müller and his ex-wife lead the shark away from the Müggelsee with the help of his boat.
background
The film was made in the summer of 2012 in Berlin-Friedrichshagen. It is the second joint film by Leander Haußmann and Sven Regener after Mr. Lehmann . Numerous prominent actors could be engaged for the low-budget comedy, most of whom took part without a fee. Frank Castorf , Jürgen Flimm and multiple cast Leander Haußmann and Sven Regener can be seen in the supporting roles . Furthermore, family members of the actors often play in short appearances.
Many allusions contain a high degree of local color and are not easy to understand for outsiders. Although Friedrichshagen belongs to Köpenick as a district, one does not feel connected to either the district or the city of Berlin, a fact that is expressed several times by the main actors.
Almost all of the actors in almost the entire film use a strong Berlin dialect .
The premiere of the film took place on March 14, 2013 in the Kulturbrauerei in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg.
The two authors published a joint reading of the script as an audio book on 'Roofmusic' on February 21, 2013.
Reviews
The film received very mixed reviews:
“Does a shark exist in Müggelsee? Leander Haussmann's comedy features trash, sex appeal and nonsense gags. The viewer can puzzle over the message, but he doesn't have to. Not all gags ignite. But then there is always great trash and absurdly weird things. The best thing is the reminiscences of silent film slapstick when Haußmann / Regener arrange the crowds at the lake to create a sophisticated grotesque choreography. "
“With the low-budget comedy 'Hai-Alarm am Müggelsee', Sven Regener and Leander Haußmann present a satire about marketing and angry citizens. The creators don't care about the genre rules, their egos don't. Fortunately, this is very funny in places. So the makers don't care about general intelligibility. But they succeed in great moments. "
“'Hai-Alarm am Müggelsee' by Leander Haußmann and Sven Regener is rather an uneven series of gags. There are pretty ideas in this project, from language criticism and system satire to allusions to angry citizens in the West. The matter will never be that round. "
"Endeavored parody of the catastrophe film genre, which strings a series of absurd incidents together and for this purpose gathers a large, illustrious ensemble of bizarre characters, but does not bring together much more than an attempted piece of clothing."
