Christina Plate
Christina Plate (born April 21, 1965 in West Berlin ) is a German actress .
Career
Christina Plate began shooting children's clothing when she was six and appeared in commercials with her mother . After her screen debut at the age of eleven in the ZDF television series Kinder, Kinder , she played a. a. at the side of Thomas Ohrner in Manni, the Libero and worked as a voice actress . After finishing school, she first trained as a gymnastics teacher , which she completed in 1985 with the state examination.
Plate made her breakthrough as an actress in 1987 in the television series Praxis Bülowbogen ; In 1988 she was awarded the Young Bambi . After she collapsed on the set in 1989, she underwent therapy for anorexia . After that, Plate continued to be seen in many television films and series , in 2003 she took on the female lead in the ARD series Familie Dr. Kleist . In 2004 she accepted an offer from Playboy for a photo shoot with a cover picture in the July issue of the magazine. On January 28, 2011, Plate announced that she wanted to limit her acting career for the time being, and also announced that she was leaving the Dr. Kleist . From 2015 to 2016 she played the role of Commissioner Nina Jacobs in the ZDF series SOKO Cologne .
Private life
Her brother is the voice actor Sven Plate . She was married to the cameraman Jörg Slotty from 1992 , from whom she separated in 1999. Plate began a new relationship with costume designer Klaus Bergmann, the father of their daughter, who was born in 2000. In August 2006 she separated from Bergmann. Since October 2007 she has been in a relationship with the presenter Oliver Geissen , whom she met in summer 2007. Plate and Geissen have been married since September 2009. The couple have a son who was born in October 2008.
