The Little Monk is a television series produced for ZDF in the crime comedy genre (also called Schmunzelkrimi), which was first broadcast in January 2002.

action

The story is about the five monks of a Cologne monastery , including Father Laurenzius ( Dirk Bach ). Laurenzius is friends with the chief detective Ursula Foges, whom he jokingly calls "UFO". Instead of morning prayer or feeding the homeless, Laurenzius prefers to hunt down criminals and very often his life is in danger. At the end of each episode, Foges arrests the criminals.
