Heinz Werner Kraehkamp

Heinz Werner Kraehkamp (born December 26, 1948 in Wixhausen near Darmstadt ; † November 24, 2012 in Berlin ) was a German actor , cabaret artist , author and theater director .

Life

After graduating from school, Kraehkamp performed in a Belgian circus as an artistry clown. After returning to Hesse, he studied acting at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts from 1964 to 1966 . He then attended the Cascadeur School in Paris from 1966 to 1967, where he trained as a stuntman.

At the beginning of his career he appeared in various theater productions, including at the Landestheater Schleswig and the Frankfurt Theater am Turm .

He became known since 1972 through over 140 roles in film and television productions such as Tatort . In the early 1980s, he presented the ARD children's series Montagsspaß together with Marita Janowski . From 1991 to 2002 he played Werner Blöhmann in the ZDF children's series Siebenstein and since 2001 in the RTL crime series section 40 the police chief inspector Georg Burrow. In 1990 he founded the Berlin cabaret Die Bastarde with Guntbert Warns , which existed until 1994.

In addition to his work for film and television, he was also seen on stage again and again. He played at the Schauspielhaus Frankfurt , Wiener Burgtheater , at the Bavarian State Theater in Munich, at the Staatliche Schauspielbühnen Berlin and temporarily headed the Volkstheater Frankfurt in 2009 .

Kraehkamp last lived in Berlin-Charlottenburg . He was close friends with his acting colleague Michael Altmann , with whom he had played theater and cabaret together. According to his agent, Kraehkamp did not have a family of his own. Kraehkamp died of lung cancer at the age of 63 .
