Alles Lie is a German political comedy from 1991 with Dieter Hallervorden . Distribution started in German cinemas on April 9, 1992.

action

Günther Kasulke, the "deserved comedian of the people" (the GDR), did not feel good about the fall of the wall and the turning point . The chances of making a career in the East are zero. He also has to watch his wife having fun with a mutual friend. As a consequence, he moves to Berlin to look for his daughter Rita. He also wants to try his professional luck again in the West.

There he meets his old stage partner Rudi Portmann, who has become a millionaire with dark businesses. Disturbed, Günther stumbles into a relationship with Portmann's wife Lizzy. He soon realizes that he is unsuitable for a market economy and that the market economy does not keep what it promises.

When public prosecutor Erika cleverly sneaks Günther's trust, he unwittingly delivers Portmann to the knife and has the brilliant idea of creating a " Socialist Disneyland " in the empty Palace of the Republic , which gives the three Ossi emigrants new life.

Reviews

"Totally unsuccessful attempt at a satire, which is primarily a loud gossip and is neither exposing nor funny."

“Heiko Schier, who was celebrated euphorically with his debut film“ Wedding ”, went wrong with his attempt at a contemporary political comedy. The good idea was nipped in the bud by a string of flat clichés. "
