Dieter Wien (born October 13, 1934 in Danzig ) is a German actor .

Life

After working as a speaker at Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk, Sender Leipzig, and guest engagements at the Theater der Junge Welt in Leipzig, Vienna completed a degree in acting. a. with Martin Flörchinger . He received his first engagement in August 1952 at the theater of the young guard in Halle. This was followed by engagements in Zeitz, Gera, Plauen and Erfurt. From 1964 to 2001 he was a permanent member of the ensemble of the Maxim-Gorki-Theater Berlin, from 2003 he was one of the main actors of the touring theater Theater des Ostens under the director Vera Oelschlegel , as William von Baskerville in The Name of the Rose together with his sons Matthias Wien and Fabian Oscar Wien and in 2007/2008 as Goya in the play of the same name based on the novel by Lion Feuchtwanger .

Vienna played in 20 DEFA cinema productions and had other cinema roles after 1989/1990. He had television appearances in Spuk von outside , Tatort , Polizeiruf 110 , Liebesau - Heimat Ost , accompanied by directorial work at the DFF, so u. a. at “The Spaghetti Band” and “The Magic Bone”. He also worked as a voice actor, he gave and gives readings. Vienna has contributed to well over 60 radio play productions and is now and again on tour with the series of events Lyrik - Jazz - Prosa .

Vienna has been retired since 2001, since 2006 he has been a speaker at Jumbo Neue Medien & Verlag , so u. a. for the audio books The Carpet Dealer by Meg Mullins , The Snow Leopard and The White Steamer by Tschingis Aitmatow and The Bridge to Terabithia by Katherine Paterson and Alhambra by Kirsten Boie .

Vienna is married to Madeleine Lierck-Wien , the daughter of the GDR actor Werner Lierck .
