Werner Lierck (born March 26, 1920 in Berlin ; † April 28, 1985 there ) was a German actor and cabaret artist .

Life

In postwar Germany, Werner Lierck was initially cast on Munich theaters in 1945. Here he played cabaret with Gert Fröbe and later went to the Nuremberg Theater . In 1953 Lierck finally moved to the GDR , where he was a member of the ensemble of the cabaret theater Die Distel for years . With the Stingeltier short satires he became known to a larger audience in GDR cinema.

As an actor, he made a name for himself with popular characters. In the serious subject, for example, Lierck played Corporal Dräger in The Frozen Lightning . Werner Lierck had been a member of the DEFA ensemble since 1959 . As a result of illness, he withdrew from the film business and was last seen on the screen in the musical film Zille und ick 1984.

His daughter is the actress Madeleine Lierck , his son-in-law Dieter Wien . With the grandchildren Fabian Oscar Wien and Matti Wien, the third generation is active on stage.

Werner Lierck died in 1985 at the age of 65 and was buried in the Pankow IX cemetery in the French-Buchholz district of Berlin .
