Matthias Vienna

Matthias Wien , also Matti Wien (born April 22, 1963 in Erfurt ) is a German actor and theater director .

Life

After studying at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin , Matthias Wien had engagements at the Berliner Ensemble and the state theaters in Schwerin , Cottbus and Nuremberg . Vienna has been a member of the Berlin Kriminal Theater ensemble since the early 2000s , where he has been and still is on stage in numerous productions, for example in the Agatha Christie plays Die Mausefalle and Death on the Nile based on the novel of the same name in which Judgment piece The 12 Jurors based on Reginald Rose or The Soul Breaker based on the novel by Sebastian Fitzek . He directed at the Kriminal Theater, among other things, the plays The Murderer Carousel and To the Extreme .

Vienna had one of its first television roles in 1983 in an episode of the crime series Polizeiruf 110 . Guest roles followed in numerous well-known series. In 1989 he was in a leading role in the film Two Weird Birds in one of the last DEFA productions in front of the camera.

Matthias Wien is the son of the actor Dieter Wien , his younger brother Fabian Oscar practices the same profession. In the 2003/04 season he played in the play The Name of the Rose based on the novel by Umberto Eco together with father and brother at the touring stage Theater des Ostens . Vienna was in a relationship with his colleague Gerit Kling for twelve years and has a son with her.
