Lia Pirskawetz
Lia Pirskawetz (born December 2, 1938 in Libau / Latvia) is a German writer .
Life
She studied Slavic and English studies at the Humboldt University in Berlin . After completing her studies, she worked as an editor at Volk und Welt publishing house . Lia Pirskawetz has been a freelance writer and translator in Berlin since 1965 . She has translated numerous novels, short stories and dramas from Russian. With her radio feature Indian Summer or To the Most Beautiful Spot on Earth , Lia Pirskawetz said in an interview in 2001, she consciously campaigned for the establishment of nature parks in the GDR.
