Joseph Nemec III

Joseph Charles Nemec III (born November 7, 1948 in Little Rock , Arkansas , United States ) is an American film architect .

Life

The descendant of Bohemian immigrants had studied architecture at the University of Arkansas and then worked as a television set designer in the 1970s. In 1980, under the direction of John W. Corso, he was involved for the first time in the equipment of a movie, the musical Xanadu . This was followed by assistant production designers for several films, including the Steven Spielberg productions The Goonies and The Color Purple .

Since the mid-1980s, Nemec worked regularly as chief architect for Hollywood cinema productions. In 1988/89 he was responsible for the decorations for the television series Christine Cromwell .
