Gunter Berger (actor)

Gunter Berger (born August 25, 1943 in Boppard ; † May 13, 2015 in Berlin ) was a German theater and film actor .

Life

Berger completed his acting training between 1966 and 1969 at the Academy for Music and Performing Arts, the Mozarteum , in Salzburg . In 1969, immediately after completing his training, he moved to the Schillertheater in Berlin to play mainly classical roles. His engagement at the Schillertheater lasted eight years before he moved to the Berlin Schaubühne in 1977 (first Schaubühne on Halleschen Ufer , later Schaubühne on Lehniner Platz ). At the same time, he began acting on television as early as 1973 in the series Okay SIR . Since that time he has appeared on the theater as well as in the cinema and television. Berger made his screen debut in Roland Klick's film Lieb Vaterland, Mayst Be Quiet (1975). He lived in Berlin until his death on May 13, 2015.
