Paul Hengge
Paul Hengge (born May 12, 1930 in Vienna ; † June 7, 2015 in Eisenstadt ) was an Austrian writer , screenwriter and private scholar .
biography
Hengge was a graduate of the Academy for Music and Performing Arts in Vienna at the Max Reinhardt Seminar ; Subject: Direction 1952. In 1953 he worked as a director and author of radio plays and cultural-political broadcasts for the Rot-Weiß-Rot in Vienna (USFA) and Vorarlberg regional broadcasters (Radio Dornbirn). In 1954 he became artistic director of the “Theater am Parkring” in Vienna and took part in theater productions in Austria and Switzerland. After 1955 he worked on radio programs for RIAS Berlin in the series “Facts and Opinions” and “From the Zone for the Zone”.
In 1958 a nine-part radio series followed at RIAS Berlin against the depiction of National Socialism, World War II and developing countries in German school books after 1945; in cooperation with Horst Eckert, International Textbook Institute, Braunschweig under the editorship Herbert Kundler . From 1960 he was dramaturge and managing director of Bertelsmann television production.
In 1962 he worked as managing director of “Playhouse-Studio” and “Europa-Studio” at the Salzburg Festival . In 1964/65, after meeting Heinz Galinski , the chairman of the Jewish community in Berlin, he decided to analyze early biblical history on the basis of the Hebrew texts that had been preserved. At the same time in Italy he took part in studies on the causes of the decline of social democracy and the success of the KPI after 1945.
From 1967/68 he was chief dramaturge and director at the Landestheater Salzburg. In order to finance the studies in biblical history and paleoanthropology , an exclusive contract as a screenwriter with Rialto Film with Horst Wendlandt was concluded in 1969/70 .
1977 followed the first publication of the basic ideas on the possibilities of translating the Hebrew text in the biblical canon at RIAS Berlin under the title "It is in the Bible". They showed the possibilities of changing the understanding of the text when using meanings given to the same Hebrew words in various other passages of the text in the conventional interpretation of the Bible. The simple-minded fable of the woman who was 'built' out of a man's rib became a description of the transition from animal to human living being (“procreation knowledge”).
Success as a writer and screenwriter then made it possible to continue and make progress in research and analysis of early biblical history and the hypotheses on paleoanthropology resulting from it. In 2006 there was an antithesis to the common hypothesis about evolution to humans (“How we humans became”).
Hengge lived in Berlin and Eisenstadt, Austria.
