Witten children's and youth theater
The Witten Children's and Youth Theater is a touring theater from the North Rhine-Westphalian city of Witten . It was founded in 1979 and goes on tour in German-speaking countries.
The work focuses on the one hand on adapting picture / children's books. This is how books by Janosch , Hans de Beer and Sven Nordqvist have dramatized it.
The second focus is the dramatization of fairy tales , to "dust off" them without distorting them in terms of language and content. The unifying goal of all theater activities is to awaken and promote fun and joie de vivre, to get involved in human values such as charity , helpfulness and a sense of responsibility , and to do all of this with ease and without a raised index finger.
