Hans de Beer

Hans de Beer (* 1957 in Muiden , North Holland ) is a Dutch illustrator and author .

Hans de Beer first studied history, then illustration at the Rietveld Art Academie in Amsterdam .

He drew various series for Dutch children's magazines before creating his first picture book with the little polar bear . Today he works as a freelance illustrator, writes and publishes his picture books in German. He is married to the Italian illustrator Serena Romanelli.
