Holger Rink

Holger Rink (* 1956 ) is a German radio play director and dramaturge .

Life

Holger Rink was born on the Lower Weser and grew up in Cologne. After leaving school he went to Berlin and studied German, politics and journalism at the Free University . During this time, he interned at RIAS , in the early 1980s he completed an internship at the former Sender Freies Berlin , after which he took a position as assistant director. In later years, Rink worked as a freelance director for ARD before moving to Radio Bremen in the mid-1990s , where he has since worked as a director, editor, producer and dramaturge. In the latter capacity he is responsible for the Bremen contributions to the radio crime scene . In 2003, the three-part radio play version of William Gibson's Neuromancer trilogy was created , which won the gold medal at The New York Festivals in 2004 in the “Best Drama Special” category.

The self-confessed fan of 1. FC Köln played three times for a Cologne city selection and lives in Worpswede.
