Torsten Körner

Torsten Körner (born September 21, 1965 in Oldenburg ) is a German television critic , journalist , documentary filmmaker and author .

Live and act

Torsten Körner studied German and theater studies and wrote a film history dissertation on Heinz Rühmann in Berlin . Since 1998 he has been writing as a freelance television critic for the trade journals Funkkorrespondenz and epd medien , as well as columnist for daily newspapers such as the Berliner Zeitung and Der Tagesspiegel . Körner was a juror for the Grimme Prize in 2014 and 2015 . He is the author of several non-fiction books as well as biographies on Heinz Rühmann, Götz George , Franz Beckenbauer and Willy Brandt . In 2009 he received the Bert Donnepp ​​Prize of the Grimme Institute for his television reviews .

Körner has three children, is married and lives in Berlin.
