Angela Gerrits

Angela Gerrits (* in Bremen ) is a German writer and radio play author .

Life

Gerrits studied musicology , Italian and literature in Hamburg . During her studies she wrote her first radio plays and was responsible for radio play adaptations. After completing her exams, Gerrits worked temporarily as a theater dramaturge in Passau and Berlin until she switched her field of activity exclusively to writing. The trained speaker penned numerous radio plays as well as novels and short stories for children and young people. She also offers writing workshops. Her children's radio play Die Nanny-App (produced by hr, BR) received the German Children's Radio Play Prize in 2017 ; and the same award was given to her radio play One and a Half Miracles and a Sparrow in 2019 .

Angela Gerrits lives in Hamburg .
