Michael W. Esser
Michael W. Esser (* 1959 ) is a German author , media scientist and producer.
Life
After studying psychology and art history at the University of Cologne and at the national Italian film academy Centro Sperimentale , Esser worked as a producer and developer for Grundy UFA and Regina Ziegler Produktion. In addition to his professional activity, he taught at the Technical University of Berlin , where he received his doctorate in media studies under Friedrich Knilli in 2002 .
Since 2000 his company Dramaworks has been developing fabrics for television and cinema. As an author and consultant, Esser has produced four multi-part events, six weekly series and around thirty TV movies for ZDF , ARD , RTL , Pro7 and Sat.1 as well as for Mediaset , Italy .
For Grundy Ufa and Sat1, he was the chief author of the German telenovela " Verliebt in Berlin ". He teaches in the field of material development at the TU Berlin, the dffb , at Mediaset and RAI , Rome . He also works as a consultant for EU-funded projects in the media sector.
In 2006, with Ninas Welt , he realized the first German mobile phone soap for the mobile phone company O 2 . The company Dramaworks, which he runs, carries out projects for screenwriting training and mobile communication and develops materials for television and cinema.
