Jürgen Uter

Jürgen Uter (* 1951 in Stuttgart ) is a German actor , radio speaker , a playwright and director .

Life

After studying theater studies in Munich and attending the New Munich Drama School , engagements at the Westphalian State Theater Castrop-Rauxel (1977–1982), the Schauspiel Dortmund (1982–2005) and the Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg (2005–2013) followed. Since 2013 he has been a regular guest at the Hamburg Ohnsørtheater .

In addition to his work as an actor, Uter also writes plays, revues and solo programs. He also acts as a speaker for radio plays and books , such as the audio book version of the novel Idylle der Hyänen by Friedrich Ani or the audio version of Himmelsstürmer by Alex Capus , which made it onto the hr2 audio book best list.

His directorial work includes the 1999 staging of Bertolt Brecht's petty bourgeois wedding and the show Odyssey 2001 - Uter in Space at the Dortmund Theater. He was also involved in the development of the hit revue Liebesperlen , which has become a long-running hit since its premiere in 1989 at the Dortmund theater and was performed there in new versions until 2010. Then the love pearls ran for 5 years in the Heinz Hilpert Theater in Lünen. There was also a performance on New Year's Eve 2010 in the Westfalenhalle Dortmund. The Westphalian State Theater is currently showing a new production.

His own works include the plays Familie Schippanowsky and Schleudergang - Scenes from the Laundromat , the former of which was performed at Hamburg's Ohnsorg Theater and broadcast on ARD , as well as a compilation of various texts from Uter's pen under the title Ich sach ja nix, ich mine only from 1996.

Since 2013 Uter has been in front of the camera more and more. In the role of Mayor Griem, he belongs to the staff of the NDR cult series “ News from Büttenwarder ” and as a factotum “Ernst” he is represented in the previous evening series “ Morden im Norden ”.
