Elisabeth Herrmann (writer, 1959)
Elisabeth Herrmann (* 1959 in Marburg an der Lahn) is a German writer, screenplay and radio play author with a focus on detective novels .
Life
Elisabeth Herrmann made after training as Bauzeichnerin a high school on the second chance at the Frankfurt night school . She then worked as a radio and television journalist and was a lecturer at Mittweida University . After several documentaries for the SFB / RBB, her detective novel Das Nanny was released. Herrmann repeatedly refers to recent German history in her books. She also writes thrillers for young people, radio plays and scripts.
Her first novel Das Kindermädchen was awarded in 2005 by the jury of the KrimiWelt best list ( Nordwestradio , Arte , Die Welt ) as the best German-language crime novel of the year (6th place). She also wrote the screenplay for the film adaptation of Carlo Rola . The ZDF exuded the film of the same name on January 9, 2012. as a TV movie of the week. He was nominated for the Bambi Audience Award 2012.
The TV film The Last Instance (EA January 20, 2014), based on the novel of the same name and the script by Elisabeth Herrmann, was the ZDF's most-watched Monday film since the ratings began with 7.7 million viewers (and 340,000 views in the media library).
Herrmann wrote the script for the ZDF television film Schattengrund , which was broadcast on December 10, 2018, based on her detective novel of the same name. As television film of the week with Josefine Preuss in the leading role, the film had 6.36 million viewers.
Herrmann lives in Berlin.
Awards
In 2011 Elisabeth Herrmann was awarded the Radio Bremen detective award. In 2012 she was awarded the German Crime Prize for the novel Witness to the Dead . In 2014 she received the Herzogenrather Handschelle crime prize for the novel The Village of Murderers .
