Audiobuch is an audio book publisher based in Freiburg im Breisgau and is one of the largest audio book publishers in Germany.

history

The company was founded in 1994 by Corinna Zimber in Freiburg. The business activity was first on the mail order business for audio books, from which an audio book publisher developed. At the beginning of 2003, Matern Freiherr Marschall von Bieberstein joined as a new partner and shareholder . Since his engagement as a member of the Bundestag, Marschall has only been a co-owner. Maik Reumann (Sales) has taken on his role.

program

In 2011, the publishing program comprised around 400 deliverable titles and consisted mainly of in-house productions, to which radio takeovers were added. The speakers include Frank Arnold , Christian Brückner , Christian Berkel , Mathieu Carrière , Heikko Deutschmann , Andreas Fröhlich , Hubertus Gertzen, Imogen Kogge , Ulrich Matthes , Franziska Pigulla , Christian Rode , Andrea Sawatzki , Johannes Steck , Anna Thalbach , Janina Sachau and Doris Wolters.

The spectrum of topics includes detective novels and thrillers, modern world literature, classics, poetry, non-fiction and humorous entertainment.

The publisher also publishes gift audio books and the audio book advent calendar .
