Roeland Wiesnekker
Roeland Wiesnekker [ ˈruːlɑnd ] (born November 25, 1967 in Uster near Zurich ) is a Swiss film and theater actor with Dutch roots.
Life
Wiesnekker attended the Zurich Acting Academy from 1986 to 1989 . In 1990 he was chosen for his portrayal of "Pjotr" in Gorkis Die Lesten in the critics' survey of the magazine " Theater heute " on the second place in the category "German young actor of the year". Wiesnekker has worked as a freelance actor since 1990, including in 1997 at the Schauspielhaus Zürich as Marquis Clitandre in Molière's The Misanthrope .
Wiesnekker also played in various films, including 1991 in Eurocops with Barbara Rudnik . From the summer of 2004 he worked in the successful Swiss soap Lüthi and Blanc . In 2005 Wiesnekker received the Swiss Film Award for Best Actor for his role as Herbert Strähl in Strähl . In 2010 he was nominated again for the Swiss Film Award for Best Actor for his play in Der Fürsorger or Das Geld der Andere .
Wiesnekker speaks German, Swiss German , Dutch , English and French . From 2015 to 2016 he played the commissariat manager Henning Riefenstahl of the duo Janneke & Brix in the Frankfurt Tatort .
