Reviews

“(TV) love story about the fears and contradictions of people who find it difficult to reconcile their emotional lives with the demands of everyday life. The fact that the constructed plot, which takes place in a visually attractive ambience, does not slide into pretentiousness, is due to the excellent leading actors. "

“What makes the film worth seeing are its actors, led by director Johannes Fabrick with a casual routine. The film is extremely well cast down to the smallest supporting roles. With actors who appreciate and master the keyboard of the nuances. "

“Fortunately, the female portrait, which begins as a light, shallow TV problem romance with a hint of humor, is becoming increasingly dramatic. In the end it will almost grow up. "

“The script by the documentary filmmaker Britta Stöckle [...] has some tough sentences ready for the protagonist. [...] But the film wants to do more than just act - in the following it actually explores how two divorced people, both of whom have suffered so many injuries, gradually approach each other [...] The whole thing is developing then [...] to a veritable drama. "

“The result is a film that tells of the love of two people without slipping into kitsch even once. A hard material that can be said to have - in the best sense - taken from life. "

background

Originally the story was designed as a mixture of drama and musical. In order to write about the professional environment of bailiffs, Stöckle sat down with a Munich bailiff.
