Irina Kurbanova
Irina Kurbanova (born October 7, 1995 in Munich ) is a German actress with Russian roots.
Life
Irina Kurbanova was born in Munich in 1995 and grew up bilingually. Her parents come from the USSR , the mother from Odessa (today Ukraine ), the father from Leningrad (today St. Petersburg), both immigrated to Germany in 1993.
As a child she gained her first stage experience in dance competitions and through appearances with Russian-speaking youth theater groups. Until she was 17, she played in the Lo-Minor theater group of the Israelitische Kultusgemeinde Munich and Upper Bavaria and in the theater studio of the Russian cultural center Gorod .
Irina Kurbanova has appeared in television and cinema films since she was eight and also regularly participates in productions by students at the Munich University of Television and Film .
After graduating from high school at the Käthe-Kollwitz-Gymnasium in Munich , she completed a bachelor's degree in art and multimedia at the LMU Munich from 2013 to 2016, and has been studying acting at the August Everding Theater Academy since 2017 .
Irina Kurbanova is a scholarship holder of the Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes and received additional funding for the Theater Lab master's degree at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, which she started in autumn 2019.
