Areeiro is a municipality ( freguesia ) in the Portuguese capital, Lisbon. It was created on September 29, 2013 as part of the administrative reorganization of the city from the merger of the municipalities Alto do Pina and São João de Deus . 20,030 inhabitants live in an area of ​​1.76 km² (as of June 30, 2011).

The municipality includes the districts west, south and east of Praça Francisco Sá Carneiro (the former Praça do Arreiro) between Entrecampos and Olaias.
