Santa Maria Maior is a municipality ( freguesia ) in the Portuguese capital, Lisbon. It was created on September 29, 2013 as part of the administrative reorganization of the city from the amalgamation of 12 inner city districts. Around 12,500 people live in an area of ​​1.43 km².
