Herzversagen is a German drama by the director Dagmar Hirtz from 2012, which was produced for the Second German Television . Maria Simon plays a young doctor who, after an alleged misdiagnosis, continues her work as a country doctor in a large clinic.
action
Dr. Ellen Roth is a young doctor who constantly works extra shifts in a large clinic and who is made financially liable for consequential damage to the patient Theissen after an alleged misdiagnosis. She is moving to a north German village as a country doctor. At first the villagers are very skeptical about her, but when she helped give birth to a calf, the practice is full. When she examined Peter Bertel, the EKG showed no abnormalities. Nevertheless, he is found dead the next day, with the ambulance assuming heart failure.
Dr. Ellen Roth doubts this diagnosis. If so, she would have made another mistake. The ECG has disappeared from the patient record. In search of the truth, she breaks into the funeral home that night to take a blood sample from the dead Peter Bertel, who is to be buried the next day. Your suspicions prove to be correct: Mr. Bertel was poisoned with an overdose of a pesticide.
There is a family tragedy behind the act. It turns out that Mr. Bertel beat his wife Marie for years while she endured everything without complaint. When he allegedly extended the abuse to their daughter Kim, Ms. Bertel took poison and killed her husband. It turns out too late that Paul, the son of village chief Robert Wank, always inflicted these injuries on Kim. At the end of the film, she visits Mr. Theissen, who is already on the mend.
