Kristin Suckow (* 1989 in Königs Wusterhausen ) is a German actress .

Life

In 1998 Kristin Suckow began training in classical ballet , jazz dance and modern dance at the TanzTheater Berlin Brandenburg in her native city. From 2001 to 2003 she participated in the theater project Turmbau zu Babel of the Berlin theater studio . From 2007 to 2012 Suckow received singing lessons from Rainer Schill, Christian Steyer and Michael Schenk. In 2008 she began studying acting at the "Konrad Wolf" University of Film and Television in Babelsberg, which she successfully completed in 2012.

Kristin Suckow played her first roles during her training in scene studies, for example in 2009 in Hautnah by Patrick Marber and in 2010 in Shakespeare's Was ihr wollt and Easter by August Strindberg . She made her stage debut outside of school in 2010 at the Maxim Gorki Theater as Marie in Georg Büchner's Woyzeck . In the same year she was seen at the Volksbühne on Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz in Wider den Donjuanismus .

From 2011 to 2013 she played in various productions at the Hans Otto Theater in Potsdam, e.g. B. in Parzival , witch hunt and cancer ward . In 2012 she gave a guest appearance at the United Theaters in Bolzano . In 2009, Kristin Suckow appeared in front of the camera for the first time in the short film Pocket Money . This was followed by other roles in various television and cinema films as well as guest appearances in crime series such as SOKO Leipzig or SOKO Wismar . For her portrayal of Hanna in the short film GeschwisterDiebe by Vasko Scholz, directed by Antoine Dengler, she was nominated for the Max Ophüls Prize for Best Young Actress in 2014 . In 2016 she starred in the multi-award-winning film Lux - Warriors of Light alongside Franz Rogowski.

In 2018, the short film Was Bleibt by Eileen Byrne with Suckow in the female lead was shown in the final of the student Oscars in the category “Best Foreign Film” and was also nominated for the First Steps Award 2018 for “Best Short Film”. In 2019 Kristin Suckow played a leading role alongside Julia Jentsch and Brigitte Hobmeier in the movie Frau Mutter Tier .

In the ARD two-parter Ottilie von Faber-Castell - A Courageous Woman , Suckow first played the title role in a major television film.

With the chanson program Amor loves you. Or me. she presents as a singer, musically accompanied by Johannes Norden, songs "on the eternal theme that everyone knows and no one understands".
