Until the Blood - Brothers on Probation is a German feature film by Oliver Kienle. Jacob Matschenz and Burak Yiğit play the leading roles in the youth drama about friendship and hip-hop as a way of life, while rapper Manuellsen makes his first film appearance. Oliver Kienle's script was awarded the Baden-Württemberg Scriptwriting Prize. The premiere took place on January 21, 2010 as part of the Max Ophüls Prize film festival, where the film won several prizes. The movie was released in Germany on September 23, 2010.

The Würzburg adolescents Tommy and Sule are best friends who stand up for each other even in danger. They get into it again and again through their drug deals. Tommy is caught by the police while dealing and has to go to jail, where he is mistreated by his fellow prisoners. After his parole, he vows to refrain from drugs. But Sule pulls him into a new deal in order to earn the money for his own tuning workshop. Only after another stay in prison can Tommy break away from Sule and work on his school leaving certificate.

The film was produced by CP Medien AG in co-production with Südwestrundfunk ( debut in the third edition , editor: Stefanie Groß) and the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy . Until the blood - Brothers on probation is the diploma film by Oliver Kienle (director), Verena Monssen and Jonathan Hild (film production), Moritz Reinecke (camera) and Patrick Eppler (editor) at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy. The shooting took place from mid-April to the end of May 2009 in Würzburg and the surrounding area.

- 2010: At the Max Ophüls Preis film festival , the film won the audience award , the student jury award and a distribution grant of 9,000 euros. According to the jury, Bis zum Blut is a "powerful, linear film that is always forward, dynamic, young, playful and entertaining."
