Simone Thomalla (born April 11, 1965 in Leipzig ) is a German actress .

Life

Origin and education

Simone Thomalla is the daughter of the film architect Alfred Thomalla and the photo model Erika Thomalla. She grew up in Potsdam and studied at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin . Engagements in Dresden and Berlin followed.

Movie and TV

Thomalla made her film debut in 1982 as Franziska Lammertin in the GDR television film Resigned . In the DEFA film satire Zwei oblique birds (1989) she was seen in the role of Petra Anschuetz. In the 1990s she had fixed roles in several television series. She played in Agency Herz in 1991 and 1992. From 1993 to 1995 she was Regine Holle in Our Teacher Doctor Specht . In 1993 she appeared in the six-part ZDF miniseries Durchreise - The story of a company . In 1996 she got her own television series with Mona M. - With the Arms of a Woman ; in her she embodied the title character Mona Morena. From 1997 to 1999 she played a pediatrician in the television series Doctors . She was also seen in the Tatort episodes Berliner Weisse (1998) and Bienzle und die blinde Wut (1999).

In the 2000s she played increasingly in television films. In the ZDF television film Familie Fröhlich - Worse always works (2010) she was seen alongside Jürgen Tarrach . Since June 2011 she can be seen in the ZDF film series Spring in the lead role of Katja Baumann. In 2013 she played a writer in the ARD television film After all these years . With the 700th official crime scene episode Death Penalty , she made her debut as a crime scene investigator on May 25, 2008. From 2008 to 2015 she formed the Leipzig investigator duo Saalfeld and Keppler with Martin Wuttke for the crime scene of the MDR . After 21 episodes, she said goodbye on April 26, 2015 with the episode Lower Instincts .

Personal

In 1986 Simone Thomalla sang in the GDR pop band Jessica as a background singer. In 1989 their daughter Sophia was born. Thomalla was married to her father, the actor André Vetters, from 1991 to 1995. From 1995 to 1999 she was in a relationship with the actor Sven Martinek and from 2000 to the beginning of 2009 she lived with Rudi Assauer in Gelsenkirchen . She shot commercials with him for the Veltins brewery. In 2006 they received the Golden Camera in the category of best advertising spot with celebrities for their surprise spot . They also appeared regularly together in the game show Typisch Frau - Typisch Mann on RTL .

Thomalla has been in a relationship with the national handball player Silvio Heinevetter since 2009 . In favor of UNICEF , Thomalla is committed to the benefit project Prominence for Charity .
