Stephan Schwartz (born October 18, 1951 in Berlin ) is a German film and television actor as well as radio play and voice actor .

life and work

Stephan Schwartz completed his training at the Max Reinhardt School in Berlin. He then played at various theaters, such as the Schauspielhaus Bochum , the Bad Hersfeld Festival , the Hamburger Kammerspiele and the Ernst Deutsch Theater . He also starred in the movies Victoria (Swedish competition entry in Cannes 1979), Everything's Different and Nothing But Truth in the Next Man, as well as various television films and series, such as The Thing , A Chapter for Himself , A Case for Two , Friends for Life , These Drombuschs , Balko and In the beginning was the fling .

Until 1996 Stephan Schwartz was the German dubbing voice of Tom Cruise . It is often said that Schwartz stopped dubbing because of Cruise's membership in Scientology . However, this assumption is based on a misunderstood, actually joking statement Schwartz 'in a television program. He also spoke to Andy García , Bill Pullman , Martin Short , Kenneth Branagh and Joseph Fiennes, as well as various advertising trailers.

Stephan Schwartz is the father of actress Fiona Coors .
