Dylan McDermott , actually Mark McDermott , (born October 26, 1961 in Waterbury , Connecticut ) is an American actor .
Life
Dylan McDermott's parents, Diane and Richard McDermott, were only 15 and 17 years old at the time of his birth. In 1967, his mother Diane died of a gunshot wound in unexplained circumstances. The case has been classified as a suicide. McDermott and his sister grew up with their grandmother Avis Marino. In 1976 he was adopted by his father's third wife, the actress and playwright Eve Ensler , author of the vagina monologues .
Dylan McDermott graduated from Fordham University . In addition to his numerous film appearances, he took on a leading role in the television series Practice - The Lawyers (1997-2003), Dark Blue (2009-2010), American Horror Story (2011), Hostages (2013-2014) and Stalker (2014-2015).
Dylan McDermott was married to actress Shiva Rose McDermott from 1995 to September 2007 , with whom he has two daughters. 1998 his name was on the list The 50 Most Beautiful People in the World the magazine People .
