action

As a young girl, Tilo is instructed about the guardians of spices, about their rules and consequences if these rules are not adhered to. The most important are never to leave the store as the guardian, never to touch someone else's skin and not to abuse the spices for your own benefit. As a trained guardian, Tilo runs a small spice shop called "Spice Bazaar" in San Francisco .

Her life takes a turn when she meets Doug, whom she has a great affection for. But the punishment is not long in coming: Your regular customers report on their negative experiences, where the spices could otherwise always be relied on.

Tilo's vision shows her returning to India and so she initiates a clearance sale. She tells the spices that she is going to spend a night with Doug, so that she can fully indulge in the spices afterwards.

She keeps her promise and sets herself and the spices on fire. Doug goes in search of her and finds her in the store - alive. Your surroundings show no signs of fire, but rather that of an earthquake. Finally, the vision shows Tilo's teacher: The spell when Tilo promised to give himself up completely to the spices is now broken and she can have everything her heart desires without having to fear punishment. Now Doug is helping to bring her shop back into shape, and both can look back on a time together.

Reviews

"Prominent fairy tale with a Bollywood influence, where the spark doesn't really want to jump."

"A very smoothly ironed mix of fantasy, love and esoteric films."
