action
Some time has passed since the casino robbery in the first part . Danny and Tess Ocean are moving into a new, large house when Terry Benedict shows up. He found out that Ocean and his team were the ones who robbed his casino . Now he is threatening Ocean and wants the stolen 160 million US dollars plus interest back within a fortnight , even though the insurance company has paid for his damage.
To raise the money, Ocean goes with his team - except for Saul Bloom, who wants to enjoy his retirement - to Europe; in the United States, "the ground has gotten too hot" for them. In Amsterdam they want to steal the oldest share in the world. But someone beats them: François Toulour, also known as the “night fox”, a French master thief who was apprenticed to the legendary master thief Gaspar LeMarc. He forces Ocean to make a bet: If Ocean and his team manage to steal a Fabergé egg from a museum in Rome , Toulour will take over the debt with Benedict.
A Europol agent , Isabel Lahiri, is hunting down Ocean's group. She is hardened enough to steal Ryan's cell phone for the purpose of her investigation and even forged a form from Europol in Rome to get full support from the local police . Her risky effort pays off - she manages to arrest Ocean's team with the exception of a few members while setting up the first attempt. In their distress due to the increasing time constraints, those who remained call for help from Tess Ocean. She should take advantage of her resemblance to Julia Roberts , distract the museum guards and thus successfully complete the task even with a shrunken team. Despite receiving unexpected help from Saul Bloom, the attempt fails and they are arrested as well.
The members of Ocean's group are handed over to a feisty lady who appears as Lahiri's section chief. It is revealed that the main planner of the events is Toulour's mentor LeMarc, who knows how to skillfully use the strengths and weaknesses of those involved. At first the head of the section turns out to be Caldwell's mother, who helps the team to escape to the United States. Next, Lahiri is persuaded by Ryan to accompany him to see her father, LeMarc, who was believed to be dead. Tess and Danny Ocean visit Toulour and claim the betting debt. Because although Toulour believes he stole the Fabergé egg on the first night in Rome, he only got his hands on a copy; According to LeMarc, Ocean's team had already captured the real egg on the way from Paris to Rome and made further attempts at theft just to distract people. The egg goes to LeMarc in return for supporting the team - and de facto saving it.
LeMarc has found his daughter again without any personal risk and has come into possession of the Fabergé egg. Toulour gritted his teeth to settle his betting debts. When Benedict receives his check from Reuben Tishkoff, they are watched by Toulour, disguised as a cleaner.
synchronization
The German synchronization was for a dialogue book by Alexander lion under the dialogue director of Frank Schaff on behalf of Interopa Film GmbH in Berlin . The voice actors of the predecessor were obliged to reapply their actors.
Reviews
“Sometimes the staging overshoots the mark and loses the thread above the mass of charismatic stars, locations and feint; Nevertheless, the film, which is rhythmically carried by a coherent music, staged and played with a clear desire for over-the-top performance, entertains without any deeper ambitions. "
