Don Cheadle
Don Cheadle [ ˈtʃiːdəl / ] (born November 29, 1964 in Kansas City , Missouri ) is an American actor , film producer and director and Grammy Award winner. In 2005 he received an Oscar nomination for the film Hotel Rwanda .
Life
Cheadle became known through the successful series Picket Fences . He had previously starred in the series Golden Palace , the successor to Golden Girls . But he made the leap to the cinema as early as the 1980s, when he was often seen in so-called ensemble films such as Boogie Nights , with which he also earned a good reputation in the cinema. Steven Soderbergh cast him five times. For his role in Hotel Rwanda , Cheadle was nominated for an Oscar for Best Actor in 2005 after previously starring in supporting roles. LA Crash won an Oscar for "Best Picture 2005". In 2013 he received the Golden Globe Award for best series lead actor (comedy or musical) in the comedy series House of Lies . In 2017 the music of his film Miles Ahead received a Grammy (via Miles Davis ).
Since 2010 he has played the role of the superhero War Machine in the Marvel Cinematic Universe . As this he has been seen in Iron Man 2 , Iron Man 3 , Avengers: Age of Ultron , The First Avenger: Civil War , Avengers: Infinity War , Captain Marvel and Avengers: Endgame .
Cheadle is in a relationship with actress Bridgid Coulter , with whom he has two children.
