The 71st ceremony of the Golden Globe Awards ( English 71st Golden Globe Awards ) took place on January 12, 2014 Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills instead. Members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) voted on the best American and foreign film and television productions and artists of the previous year, which were honored at a gala dinner. The award ceremony was broadcast live on the American television station NBC .

In the film category, the comedy American Hustle was the most successful with three awards (Best Film - Comedy / Musical, Best Actress - Comedy / Musical, Best Supporting Actress). In the television division, the series Breaking Bad , Brooklyn Nine-Nine and the television film Liberace - Too much of a good thing is wonderfully victorious with two Golden Globes each .

As in the previous year, the former comedians from Saturday Night Live and actresses Tina Fey ( 30 Rock ) and Amy Poehler ( Parks and Recreation ) hosted the 71st Golden Globe Awards.
