Aaron Paul
Aaron Paul Sturtevant (born August 27, 1979 in Emmett , Idaho ) is an American actor , best known for his role as Jesse Pinkman in the television series Breaking Bad . For this role he received several awards, including three Emmy awards for best supporting actor.
biography
Paul grew up in Idaho as the fifth child of a Baptist pastor. He began early on to act in church plays. Since eighth grade he wanted to be an actor. In high school, he was allowed to play in the senior classes' acting classes. He graduated from school a year early and moved to Los Angeles at the age of 17 . Soon after, he received roles in short films and in music videos Thoughtless the band KoЯn and White Trash Beautiful by Everlast .
He then appeared in smaller roles in the films Mission: Impossible III , K-PAX , Party Animals and The Last House on the Left and in the television series The Guardian , CSI: Crime Scene Investigation , CSI: Miami , Emergency Room , Bones , Criminal Minds , Sleeper Cell, and The X-Files . In 2010, Paul played a leading role in the horror film Wreckage .
In the series Big Love he played a continuous role for the first time. For the AMC drama series Breaking Bad , he was cast for the lead role of drug dealer Jesse Pinkman, which he played from 2008 to 2013. His role was supposed to die at the end of season one, but showrunner Vince Gilligan later decided against it. He received public recognition as well as several awards and nominations for the role, including the Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actor in 2010 , 2012 and 2014 . In 2014, Paul starred in Need for Speed , the film adaptation of the auto racing game series of the same name . In the Netflix animated series BoJack Horseman , he voiced the character Todd Chavez in the original from 2014 to 2020 . In 2020 he took on one of the leading roles as Caleb Nichols in the third season of the HBO series Westworld .
After initially dating Jessica Lowndes , Paul became engaged to Lauren Parsekian in January 2012. They were married in Malibu in May 2013. Parsekian and Paul have been parents to a daughter, Story Annabelle Paul, since the beginning of 2018.
From April to November 2016 , Paul played as a wildcard on the LA Sunset team in the Global Poker League and made it to the playoffs with his team.
