The business lawyer Nick Fallin is usually in the office Fallin Associates operates his father Burton Fallin. However, he was sentenced to a suspended sentence for drug possession. a. 1500 hours of social service at youth legal assistance count. On the very first day, Alvin Masterson, the head of the facility, sent him to court to represent little Hunter Reed. When Nick learns that the boy's father killed his mother, however, he turns the case down - after the death of his own mother he was forced to live with his father, who was not very knowledgeable about upbringing. But Laurie Solt from the youth welfare office changed his mind. In the first season, the youth legal aid has to expand its area of responsibility to include adults due to budget constraints, so that its name is changed to "Legal Aid Pittsburgh". The series focuses on Nick's social work, drug withdrawal, and his relationship with his father. Despite his initial rejection and boredom, Nick represents his young clients just as vigorously as he did before his "adult" clients.
