Threat Matrix - Red Alert is an American television series which aired on ABC . The series is about events of the Department of Homeland Security , led by agent John Kilmer. The title Threat Matrix takes its name from the National Security Status Report that the President of the United States receives on a daily basis.

The series was broadcast by ABC in the United States from 2003 to 2004. It comprised 16 episodes of 45 minutes each, with the last two episodes not being broadcast. After the first season, Threat Matrix was discontinued. In Germany, the series was broadcast on Sat.1 from May 22 to August 21, 2008 under the name Threat Matrix - Red Alert . The last two episodes were not broadcast in Germany either.

criticism
In the US, some episodes of the series have been criticized for showing torture. At the time it was broadcast, the Abu Ghraib torture scandal was a social issue.
