Debora Weigert (born May 7, 1969 in Berlin ) is a German actress , dubbing actress and dubbing director and lives in Berlin.
Live and act
Debora Weigert is the daughter of the actress and director Brigitte Grothum and the orthopedic surgeon Manfred Weigert. Her brother Tobias Weigert is the production manager in Berlin. During her school days, she took on her first dubbing role in the series Starsky & Hutch and one of the leading roles in Love Boat . After graduating from high school, she studied acting in the acting studio of Maria Körber in Berlin from 1992 to 1994 and then received singing lessons from the musical actor Léon van Leeuwenberg.
Weigert took part in theater productions on Berlin theaters, including the Theater am Kurfürstendamm , the Berlin Criminal Theater , the Renaissance and Hebbel Theaters and the Schlosspark Theater . Guest tours have taken her to venues in Frankfurt am Main , Munich and Switzerland. From 1988 to 2014 she also played regularly at the Berliner Jedermann Festival , most recently as the good works under the direction of Brigitte Grothum .
She received TV guest roles in series such as Gute Zeiten, Bad Zeiten , SOKO Leipzig , SOKO Wismar , SOKO Kitzbühel , Rosa Roth , the Sonnenfeld family , Mord in the best company and The Patriarch . Also in the TV film A Chance for Love , in the movie Phantom Pain and in the film Matze, Kebab and Sauerkraut . She also works in the field of film dubbing and has been working in dubbing direction since 2014.
Weigert also appeared in readings and participated in numerous audio productions, including a. as the narrator in the audio book version of the novel Cosimo by Magdalen Nabb and in the radio play Berlin Airlift by Felix Huby and Ulrich Werner Grimm . In 2010 she read the world premiere Ich an dich by Dinah Nelken , directed by Horst Naumann . She worked in radio plays a. a. in Der Hund der Baskervilles (directed by Bastian Pastewka ) and Benjamin Blümchen . In 2015 she and her mother founded her own live radio play project, which is performed with a changing ensemble at different venues. Previous performances have been based on the novel by Edgar Wallace The Strange Countess , The Inn on the Thames , The Indian Cloth and My Friend Harvey by Mary Chase .
