Ellen Hillingsø
Ellen Gunilla Hillingsø (born March 9, 1967 in Copenhagen , Denmark ) is a Danish actress , voice actress in animation films and radio play speaker .
Life
Ellen Gunilla Hillingsø is the daughter of retired Lieutenant General Kjeld Hillingsø and Birgitta Hillingsø. She finished her acting studies at Aarhus Teater in 1994 . Then she played more theater and had various leading roles in various houses in Copenhagen, including Det Kongelige Teater , Grønnegårds Teatret , Kanonhallen , Aveny Teatret and Østre Gasværk . She made her screen debut in 1988 with the two comedies Huller i suppen and Yellow Pages . She is also active as a Danish voice actress in animated films and an audio book narrator. From the mid-1990s, she played increasingly in movies and since the turn of the millennium in television films and series. So far, she has been nominated four times for the Danish Robert Film Award, where she was named Best Supporting Actress for her performance in Merciless Seduction .
Private
She is privately involved in the Danish AIDS Foundation for the fight against AIDS and research against breast cancer. In 2001 she co-hosted the Grand prix nostalgi in Denmark in order to organize donations for her foundation. Hillingsø has contact with the Danish royal family. She is invited to various official occasions or events.
Hillingsø has been married to the manager of Saxo Bank Christoffer Castenskiold since 2000 and they have two children.
