Maryam d'Abo (born December 27, 1960 in London ) is a British actress .

biography

The daughter of a Georgian mother and a Dutch father played from the beginning of the 1980s, small roles in film and television before 1987 with a starring role in the James Bond film The Living Daylights (The Living Daylights) alongside Timothy Dalton became internationally known. Even if this fame - as with most of the "Bond Girls" - did not bring a lasting breakthrough, she is a busy actress; albeit in less well-known film and television productions.

In 2002, Maryam d'Abo published a successful book on "The Women of James Bond": Bond Girls Are Forever . In the same year, a DVD-Video documentation was developed from the book .

Maryam d'Abo is a cousin of Mike d'Abo , the former lead singer of Manfred Mann's group , whose daughter Olivia d'Abo is also an actress. Maryam d'Abo has been married to film director Hugh Hudson since 2003 .

In 2007, Maryam d'Abo survived a cerebral haemorrhage .
