action

Amber Leighton lives in New York City and is married to the wealthy Anthony Leighton. She is vacationing in the Mediterranean on a yacht with her husband and friends . Above all, she is very snooty on the yacht and lets the sailor and fisherman Giuseppe Esposito feel her arrogance .

Amber, who has lost touch with friends visiting an island, insists that Giuseppe bring her to the island despite his concerns. On the way, the engine of their boat dies and they are stranded on an uninhabited island. There Giuseppe turns the tables and Amber has to do his laundry, cook food, kiss his feet and call him master. They are still getting closer; Amber gradually learns to fish and other things after being completely helpless in the beginning. Amber is completely satisfied with Giuseppe for the first time in her life and does not want to return from the island. But that's not enough for Giuseppe. He wants proof that she chooses him and not her rich life in New York.

After a month, Amber and Giuseppe are rescued from the island. Amber stays in a hotel with her husband. Giuseppe calls Amber later and confesses his love to her. She says she loves him too and asks what to do. Giuseppe says he will be in touch. She hides her feelings from her husband.

Giuseppe receives a cash reward from Anthony . For the money he buys a ring, which he leaves in an envelope for Amber at the hotel where the Leightons live. Anthony intercepts the delivery, however. When he and Amber want to take off in a helicopter , Anthony lets his unsuspecting wife - disappointed not having heard from Giuseppe - give the envelope with the ring along with a tip to a servant. He brings the envelope with the address written on it to Giuseppe, who is waiting at the pier not far from this point . Giuseppe opens the envelope. Believing Amber had refused his application, he runs to the departure point. The helicopter takes off, Amber cries and does not see Giuseppe running up. Giuseppe throws the ring into the water.

James Berardinelli described the film on ReelViews as "unfortunate" ("unfortunate"). He repeated the same word to describe Madonna's "attempt to play". Berardinelli compared the film in a very negative way with the film, Carried by an Unusual Fate in the Azure Sea in August 1974, and wrote that "90% of the humor" was unintentional.

Owen Gleiberman wrote in Entertainment Weekly that the film should be nothing more than entertainment. He praised the chemistry between Madonna and Adriano Giannini.
