Hartmut Ostrowsky

Hartmut Ostrowsky (born September 13, 1944 in Koenigsberg ) is a German director .

Life

After Ostrowsky had passed the Abitur, he decided to study theater studies and graduated with a diploma. His beginnings as a dramaturge and director led him to the theater in Plauen , where he worked for several years as senior director. In between he completed an assistant director at the Deutsches Theater Berlin . From 1978 he worked as a freelance director and author for the television of the GDR in Berlin-Adlershof. Here he worked with the then stars of GDR television, such as Marianne Kiefer , Helga Göring , Gisela May , Ingeborg Krabbe and Uta Schorn . He interrupted his television activity from time to time to direct plays in Berlin theaters. In 1995/96 he directed the comedies Bratpfannenstory and Ein Biest mit Silberblick for MDR .

Ostrowsky has been working as a freelance director since 1997, for example at the Theater am Kurfürstendamm in Berlin and at the Theater am Dom in Cologne . He also worked on the Kleine Komödie at Max II in Munich and the Komödie in Dresden . With the four of Fisch , he took on a musical that ran after the premiere in Berlin in the Winterthur Theater . In 2003 Ostrowsky staged the tabloid play Do you find that Constanze is behaving correctly at this theater ? , 2005 Bewitching Julia , 2007 Die Kaktusblüte ( filmed in 1969 with Ingrid Bergman and Walter Matthau ) and 2009 Four Windows to the Garden .
