Kaspar Eichel (born November 27, 1942 in Berlin ) is a German actor and voice actor .

Life

Family and education

Kaspar Eichel's father was the writer Wito Eichel (1913–2002), later artistic director of the DEFA studio for dubbing and director of artistic training at the Babelsberg film school . From 1960 to 1963, Kaspar Eichel completed an acting training at the State Drama School in Berlin-Schöneweide , from 1981 the "Ernst Busch" Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin .

Film, television, dubbing

In 1964 he played the main role, the cobbler boy Klaus, in the DEFA fairy tale film The Golden Goose . He had bigger roles in the 1965 film adaptation of the novel, Deep Furchen, and in the film drama Berlin around the corner , which could not be shown in the GDR until 1987. Eichel has been part of the actors' ensemble of German TV broadcasters since 1969 . After the fall of the Berlin Wall he was also featured in West German television productions. He took on continuous series roles, recurring episode roles and guest roles. From 2002 to 2009 he had a constant series role as Fischer Dietmar in the ZDF series Hallo Robbie! .

Eichel also works as a voice actor. He dubbed Franco Nero , James Doohan , Ron Rifkin and Rick Warden as well as William Shatner in the movie Ab through the hedge . In 2007, Eichel replaced Robert Redford's longtime spokesman Rolf Schult in Von Löwen und Lammern . This decision was made by a US supervisor who found Schult, who had already dubbed the first trailer, "unsuitable". After Schult's death in 2013, Eichel has already dubbed Redford in four films and is now his new regular speaker.
