The Planet of the Dinosaurs ( Japanese恐 竜 冒 険 記 ジ ュ ラ ト リ ッ パ ーKyōryū Bōkenki Jura Tripper ), also known as Jura Tripper , is an anime series from 1995. The plot is essentially based on the novel Two Years Vacation by Jules Verne .

Fifteen young boy scouts get caught in a terrible storm out of the blue during an excursion with their ship. When the storm subsides, they suddenly realize that they have landed in a completely different world, in which dinosaurs exist alongside humans.
Origin and emanations
The series produced by Ashi Productions was first broadcast from April to December 1995 on the Japanese television station TV Tokyo . It consists of 39 episodes and was directed by Kunihiko Yuyamas . The theme song Bokutachi no Start (僕 た ち の ス タ ー ト) sang Hironobu Kageyama , the credits Sunday Island Mariko Kouda , who also played the role of the lady . From 1995 to 1996 the series was also released on video in Japan .
From 1998 to 2000, the German television broadcaster tm3 broadcast the series several times under the title The Planet of the Dinosaurs .
