The Planet of the Dinosaurs ( Japanese恐 竜 冒 険 記 ジ ュ ラ ト リ ッ パ ーKyōryū Bōkenki Jura Tripper ), also known as Jura Tripper , is an anime series from 1995. The plot is essentially based on the novel Two Years Vacation by Jules Verne .

Fifteen young boy scouts get caught in a terrible storm out of the blue during an excursion with their ship. When the storm subsides, they suddenly realize that they have landed in a completely different world, in which dinosaurs exist alongside humans.

The series produced by Ashi Productions was first broadcast from April to December 1995 on the Japanese television station TV Tokyo . It consists of 39 episodes and was directed by Kunihiko Yuyamas .
