history

In October 1999 , the Bavarian State Center for New Media approved an application for the following six thematic programs :

  • TM3 - Living & Living: Nice ambience

In the same year the former “women's broadcaster” secured the broadcasting rights for the UEFA Champions League for DM 850 million for four years and broadcast live for one season until it was sold to RTL and Premiere in 2000.

At the beginning of 2001 the travel show holiday ready started on tm3 , which was renamed sonnenklar in the same year . Building on the concept of this program, the broadcaster sonnenklar.TV emerged in 2003 .

News Corp. took over the station between 1999 and 2000 and converted it into a "Champions League station". Interest declined in 2001; it was taken over by HOT Networks GmbH and ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG.

On April 23, 2001, tm3 started an interactive live entertainment (13 hours per day) under the motto “As live as life”, which paved the way for the successor channel 9Live.

Restart

On June 1, 2017, Timo C. Storost brought tm3 into play as the new name of his channel Family TV . The name was finally changed in January 2019.
