Helga Piur , married to Helga Piur-Stahnke (born May 24, 1939 in Berlin ), is a German actress and dubbing actress who was best known for her roles on GDR television .

Life

As a child, Helga Piur sang in the children's radio choir. At first, however, she only played with an amateur drama group and was a secretary at Dietz Verlag in Berlin . Several applications to the drama school failed. That is why she took private lessons from Eduard von Winterstein . Since 1959, it has been an integral part of German television broadcasting . Initially, she mainly appears in children's programs , where she embodies popular characters such as the Edelgard doll or little handicrafts in programs such as Our Sandman , Bahnhof Puppenstadt or Treff mit Petra .

She was quickly cast in comedies and crime novels and was seen more frequently in movies in the early 1960s . In the following two decades she appeared in a wide variety of roles in a wide variety of genres and was not limited to film work, but also worked as a voice actress and radio operator. From 1967 to 1982 Helga Piur was in a large part of the 678 episodes produced in the popular Neumann radio play series , ringing twice on Radio DDR I as Brigitte Neumann. From 1985 onwards, Piur became a “superstar” in the television series Zahn um Zahn , where she embodied the clinic assistant Victoria Happmeyer, known as “Häppchen”, at the side of Alfred Struwe as a dentist. Since 1988 Piur has been part of the permanent ensemble of the DFF, which however was wound up at the end of 1991. Nevertheless, even after the fall of the Wall, she can often be seen on television and is particularly dedicated to dubbing.

Piur has received many awards in the GDR, including being voted TV favorite in 1986 and 1987 . As a dubbing actress she lent her voice to Brigitte Bardot for DEFA dubbing versions . She also toured with the Theater der Komödianten. In 2009 she published her book Ein Häppchen von mir.

Until his death in 1972 Helga Piur was married to the actor Gert Andreae . In 1974 she married the author and director Günter Stahnke , with whom she was married until his death in November 2018. She often appeared in his films. She has a daughter. Piur lives in Fredersdorf .
