Dieter Scharfenberg
Dieter Scharfenberg (born February 7, 1932 in Bad Salzungen ; † October 10, 2012 ) was a German director, scriptwriter and author.
Life
Scharfenberg studied German , theater studies and philosophy in Jena and Berlin from 1950 to 1954 . Until 1955 he worked in the dramaturgy department at DEFA and then completed his service with the NVA , which he completed in 1957. From 1957 to 1970 Scharfenberg worked as a feature film dramaturge at DEFA. In addition, from the late 1960s he wrote various film scripts and worked as an author for recordings. By the mid-1980s, Scharfenberg had released around 20 fairy tale records, including Die Kluge Bauerndaughter (1973) and The Emperor's New Clothes (1986).
In 1981 Scharfenberg directed his first film: The fairy tale film The Mirror of the Great Magus was followed by his second and last directorial work in 1984 with The Exchange Queen , also a fairy tale film. Scharfenberg lived in Berlin and the Mark Brandenburg until his death in 2012 .
